What is your cancellation policy?
If a cancellation occurs, the deposit is refundable, minus a $30
administration fee, provided the cancellation is received 21 days
prior to arrival date, except July and August in which case June
1st is the last date of refunds. No deductions will be made for
late arrivals or early departures.
Do your cottages have telephones?
The cottages do not have telephones. Over the years our guests have
expressed a preference of not having telephones in the cottages.
There is access to a payphone at the Liquor Store in the hamlet.
Will my cell phone work there?
Cell phone service is available in the area. Reception in and around
the resort is generally reported as average to good.
Is there a charge for day visitors?
Shady Point Resort is an intimate resort that offers relaxation
and serenity in peaceful surroundings. To ensure the enjoyment of
all our clients the number of day visitors will be kept to a minimum.
There is a charge of $5.00 per visitor, per day and all visitors
are expected to vacate the Resort by 10.00 p.m. unless prior arrangements
have been made with the management.
We are visiting from the US, do we require any documentation to enter Canada?
If you are a citizen of the United States, you do not need a passport to enter Canada or the U.S. However, you should carry proof of your citizenship, such as a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship or naturalization, as well as a photo ID. If you are a permanent resident of the U.S., you should bring your Permanent Resident Card (i.e. green card) with you.
U.S. citizens returning to the U.S. from Canada are currently exempt from passport requirements.
